Since 2008 Melbourne and Maria have been escorting enthusiastic hobby photographers and others who just want the experience, around a few of Jakarta’s photogenic districts.

Kampung Cikini is in the regency of Menteng. The walk takes us through a colorful flower area where skilled designers build floral displays.

We stroll through a pasar (market) and the narrow winding streets of a kampung. We get glimpses of the river and families who live nearby.

The walk is a photographic treat. The friendly locals are more than happy to pose for photos and nearly everyone has a smile for us.

It doesn't matter what photography skill level you have. We have had a few people join the tour and they didn't even bring cameras with them! Many people new to Jakarta enjoy this tour as it gives them a look "behind-the-scenes".

This morning walk also makes a great gift for friends and loved ones.
